ELIZABETH GRIN is a Certified Resume Strategist with experience on both sides of the hiring desk.

 

She’s seen thousands of resumes and she’s provided consultation and recommendation for numerous interviewing and hiring decisions during a span of more than 10 years.

 

Her background includes 8 years at Knowledge Network, BC’s educational television, reviewing resumes and interviewing personnel for programs and series; 2 years as personnel assistant on the HR team of one of Canada’s largest reforestation companies, interviewing and hiring 1,200 seasonal employees; and 2 years as program manager, recruiting, interviewing and training facilitators for the Canadian Cancer Society.

 

In 2000, she opened Sunshine Design, offering desktop publishing services for marketing and communication initiatives such as newsletters, reports, proposals, directories, postcards, posters, manuals and resumes.

 

To this day, resumes are her favourite. “Collaborating with clients and producing resumes that help them get the interviews and achieve their dreams are the most satisfying aspects of my work,” Elizabeth says. The process begins with gathering the key information from her clients, then strategically producing their best resume – the one that get results.

 

Elizabeth takes her skills with organizing content and page layout to another level when she creates resumes. “Each person has unique skills and strengths that are beneficial to the potential employer. When I produce their resume, my job is to make these attributes clear and attractive through an acute choice of keywords and customized presentation.”

Her work experience has always included skills such as writing, editing, page layout, marketing, promotion and project management. Elizabeth has played a key role in the successful promotion of numerous people, events, programs, locations and businesses during the past 20 years.

 

She has been a member of Career Professionals of Canada since 2006 and was published in “Best Canadian Resumes” in 2010.
